April 21-28, 2008
Multidisciplinary workshops in Lead, South DakotaA comprehensive series of multidisciplinary workshops to further refine the initial suite of experiments for DUSELwill be held in Lead. Disciplines will include physics, earth science, geomicrobiology, and education and outreach.

Mid-May 2008
Guided tours of the Homestake site and the historic city of Lead, offered by the Homestake Visitors Center at 160 West Main Street, begin in mid-May and operate into October. The Center, which is open daily year around, offers visitors free viewing of the Open Cut and an informational mining video.
